St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende will play host to a repeat of the 2016 Masaza cup final between Gomba and Buddu this Saturday at 3:00 pm.

His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II expected to be the guest of honour.

Four times Champions Gomba will be seeking revenge after narrowly missing out on the title by a 5 – 6 loss on spot kicks to Buddu four years ago.

This year’s tournament was slated to take place from June to August 2020 but was delayed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. It was also decided that all the games be played at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru except for the final.

Titus Ssematimba will be looking forward to continuing his goal scoring form after scoring the only goal of the match in the 6th minute in Buddu’s semi-final win against defending Champions Bulemeezi.

On the other hand, Gomba needed to be at their best to overcome last Year’s losing finalist Busiro 5 – 4 on spot kicks.

In the day’s curtain raiser at 12pm, losing semi finalists Busiro will be up against Bulemeezi in the battle for 3rd place in what looks to be a repeat of last year’s final in which Bulemeezi was victorious.
