After registering no win in the opening 12 games of the current campaign, the mighty team from Jinja town were among the leading candidates to be relegated this season.

But in a turnaround of events, the 3 wins they registered in the last 3 games of the first round has seen them climb to 12th position on 20points ahead of fellow eastern team Wakiso Giants by a point, giving the boys hope going into the second half of the season.

Busoga United will need to improve on their ability to defend to avoid giving away their lead when they are in winning positions. For example, the first half of the season saw them concede an equalizer in 4 of the 7 matches they have been in the lead.

Fighting back after conceding has also been Busoga United’s Achilles heel with the team scoring an equalizer in only 2 of the 9 matches, they have gone behind first.

The return of goalkeeper Delton Oyo, Defender Kenneth Semakula and midfielder Isma Mugulusi from the U-20 duty have of course boosted their spirit and form and most likely could be the turning point for them come the second half of the season.

Final Report Comment: Busoga United will do just enough to stay up due to their improved form in the second half of the season.Ugsports.net predicts a mid table finish for the Jinja based team
