The reigning champions knew exactly what they had to do to win the league. Or at least go to the top of the log until the KOBs game was played. And they did all they could by winning with a bonus point.

There was a heavy downpour before the match. But even that could not stop the proceedings.

Sebuliba Lawrence opened the score sheet for Heathens with a beautiful try. The conversion was good by Chris Lubanga. Kanyanya Martin extended the lead with a try and Chris Lubanga collected the extras. Score 14:00. Kanyanya Martin pushed the lead further with another try and Chris Lubanga converted successfully.

Paul Epillo later made a try off a rolling maul. Chris Lubanga split the uprights. Heathens 28 : 00 Rhinos. Emma Byamugisha made a good offload to Joseph Bulago who dotted it in the corner. The conversion went wide.

Heathens were off to the break with a bonus point lead in the bag against Rhinos.

Innocent Gwokto opened  up the second half time score sheet extending the lead and Joseph Oyet  successfully split the uprights.  sebuliba Laurence made his 2nd try of the game pushing the score. The conversion went wide.

Man of the match was Heathens Lawrence Ssebuliba with two tries and an assist. A magnificent game performance from him this afternoon. Not the result Rhinos came looking for. Lessons will be learnt and we hope they come back better next season. Heathens definitely got the results they came looking for as they awaited results from the KOBs vs Pirates game.

Heathens went top of the table temporarily at least for an hour with 39 points.
