Uganda Cranes will host Tanzania’s Taifaa Stars in the second leg of the 2023 CHAN championships at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

They will be aiming to clinch a spot in the 2023 CHAN championships.

The Uganda Cranes defeated Taifa Stars 1-0 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

Sensational teenager, Travis Mutyaba had to come off the bench to score a stunning goal that split the two rivals late in the game.

Uganda Cranes can still advance on away goals rule even after a 2-1 home loss.

Four new players have been added to the squad by Micho, including KCCA FC forward Shaban Muhammad, who was released before the team left for the first game.

Brian Mato, a defender, and midfielder George Kasonko were also brought back, and Vipers winger Ibrahim Orit joined the team camp in the last minutes.

Coach Micho has repeatedly admonished his players not to let their guard down.

After the Sunday defeat, the Taifa Stars fired head coach Danish Kim Poulsen, and they also signed striker John Bocco to their roster.

Uganda will confirm a ticket to Algeria and a sixth successive CHAN qualifier if they defeat Tanzania.

Uganda Cranes Probable Lineup
