In a highly anticipated final against Ghana, coach Morley Byekwaso will most likely use the preferred 4-3-3 attacking formation. He may also probably stick to his attackers Basangwa Richard and Derrick Kakooza who scored against Tunisia in the semi final.

The Uganda U-20 team comprises players from the FUFA Juniors League. This crop of youngsters has provided a stable back line and many promising options in attack. Those ingredients will most likely produce the magic bullet needed to shoot past the Black Satellites.

Saturday’s opponents Ghana are a familiar face at this stage of the competition having won the competition in 1993, 1999 and 2009.

The Black Satellites have been altering the formations against the teams they played. UG Sports predicts a 4-3-2-1 formation to be used in the game against Uganda. This formation has paid off for the Satellites  with wins in both the quarterfinals and the semifinals against Cameroon and Gambia respectively.

With an average age of 18.5 years for both teams, this encounter should bring out the best of the east and west of  African youth football.
