After picking his first win as a manager for Onduparaka FC against Kitara FC during the midweek, the Caterpillars fans were all filled with expectations that their new coach Joseph Mutyaba Harold would spear head their boys’ second victory in charge away today at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Sports Stadium in Wakiso today.
But their expectations were soiled today by a very clinical Wakiso Giants side who scored two goals, one either side of the break to beat the Arua Boys 2 : 0. Ivan Bogere scored the only goal of the first half to give Wakiso Giants a 1 : 0 lead going into the halftime break. With the relegation pressure on, the men from Wakiso started the second half very determined and by the 59th minute, Pius Kagwa had scored to make it 2 : 0 for the home team. This was a very clinical win as they managed to see the game through to the final whistle without conceding any goal. Despite their win, they are still 13th on the league table standings with their opponent Onduparaka dropping to 9th after this defeat today.
