Inzikuru is the face of the 3rd Edition of the MUBS Alumni Run slated for July, 2021

The MUBS Alumni Run was officially first launched on Wednesday, 29th May 2018. This year’s edition scheduled on 18th July, would be the 4th episode of the run had COVID-19 not interfered with the plans last year leading to a postponement. Consequently, this year’s edition is the 3rd. 

The run starts and finishes at the MUBS main campus in Arua. It involves both the 5km and 10km races. 

This year’s race will not be any different with participants paying UGX 20,000 to participate. 

Every year has a theme and this year’s theme is to “Enable women with disabilities get University education”. 

Dorcus Inzikuru will champion this year’s race with proceedings going into efforts to make sure women with disabilities access university education. 

Inzikuru is an Alumni of MUBS. She is also a household name in Uganda Sports. 

She holds various accolades from the 2005 World Athletics where she won gold in the 3000m steeplechase race a feat that instantly made her a household name in Uganda. 

She also won gold in the 5000m race at the 2000 world Junior Championships.

Tickets for the race are available at MUBS main campus and all Capital shoppers supermarkets at a fee of 20,000 Ugandan shillings.
