Italian side signs West Nile budding youngster

 West Nile forward Mawa Oscar Senke has been acquired by Lucera Calcio from SC Villa on a one-year contract.

Mawa, a S.6 vacist at Gombe High School, led all scorers with 11 goals in the just-completed post-primary soccer matches in Arua.

He was born in the Yumbe district’s Odravu sub-county, also played for the KCCA Junior Team, the Onduparaka Junior Team, the Yumbe Heroes, and Leo Fc.

In Kigali in 2020, Uganda won the U17 CECAFA title, and he was chosen as the tournament’s best scorer.

The club officially announced Mawa’s signing on their social media platforms

“The sky-white club announces that it has arranged to sign Oscar Mawa. Striker class 2005, Ugandan Yumbe has his quickness and explosive power qualities, highlighted in the Sports Club Villa Jogo. (Ugandan Premier League) so much to attract the attention of the Gru, who have selected him time and again for all the national teams.”
