For a day that seemed to be a light one turned heavy for Busowoko as they failed to find early wickets that could let them limit Itanda to a small score.
Day three resumed with Itanda continuing to bat with Kawangunzi Timothy and Steven Wabwose.
Despite Kawangunzi Timothy departing the crease early, his replacement Oloka Pius didn’t hesitate to form a perfect partnership with Steven Wabwose who almost batted the whole day.
The pair went on to produce 182 runs before the fall of the fourth wicket but individually Wabwose and Oloka contributed 120 runs off 233 balls and 92 runs off 152 balls respectively to give Itanda a much needed lead.
The introduction of Calvin Watuwa who turned the format into a T20 one hitting almost every ball for a boundary saw him being the only batsman to post double figures of 55 runs off 47 balls after the pair of Oloka and Wabwose.
Kenneth Waiswa and Eddie Agaba were the men on a mission with the ball who registered figures of 4/55 in 20 overs and 2/92 in 27 overs respectively.
Itanda went on to declare and give a chance to Busokowo who started on a bad note in their second innings of the match.
Busowoko heads into the final day of the match with a loss of two wickets and needs a score of 416 runs to win with eight wickets at hand to draw the series at 1-1.
