After finishing second in the just concluded Bwera Bistro SMC Challenge Rally, Jas Mangat Singh has made a late entry in the upcoming the Equator Rally and now becomes the eighth Ugandan to confirm participation in the event that is scheduled to take place from 23rd -24th April 2021.
This will be the 2nd round of the African Rally Championship where South Africa’s Guy Botterill leads with 25 points. Mangat will join the rest of the team that departs from Kampala on Tuesday 20th April for Naivasha Kenya.
The team will also include Amanraj Rai who will be making his debut in his newly acquired Ford Fiesta R5. Amanraj who previously held a Kenyan license in the Kenyan National Rally Championship will be co driven by Slovak Oslaj Viljem.
Other members on the Ugandan team include Ronald Ssebuguzi, Duncan Mubiru, Hassan Alwi, Kepher Walubi, Rajiv Ruparelia and Yassin Nasser.
