As times go on, innovations are being picked by players who played and enjoyed the game of cricket at international level with Charles Waiswa being one of them to spearhead this first Redball test match.
The first Red-ball cricket test which kicked off at Jinja SS cricket oval on Monday 19th December 2022 climaxed on 22nd December 2022 at the same venue as players donned whites to showcase their talents, hitting and chasing the ball throughout the whole day.
Day one of the test cricket was hit by heavy rains that didn’t allow the proceedings to go on, but there was plenty to play for on day two as the sun was all shining bright.
The test was played between Team Itanda and Team Busowoko but mainly constituted young crikecting talent in the region of Busoga.
And this is how players and teams performed during the first four day Red-ball match.
Team Busowoko 195 all out in 83.5overs
Team Itanda won the toss and chose to field first.
