FT. HIPPOS 09 v 30 Heathens
Man of the match Aaron Ofoywroth had an incredible game display at Dam waters with two penalties and two conversions to down Hippos. The win is a confidence booster to the champions who are chasing Kobs at the top of the table.
They have played all the teams in the first four places of the table which means they have the most favorable fixture going into the business end of the league compared to fellow title challengers.
Hippos flattered to deceive in the first stages of the league but they have succumbed to two defeats in a row. The first time this season and they have failed to take away points from the teams they are challenging for the title with. Maxwell Ebonga’s yellow card summed up their even with their star man finding it hard to get anything behind the Heathens defense line.
Heathens came off the break with a bonus point lead against the hosts. It was straight forward for the champions in the second half with Aaron Ofoyrwoth going for the posts and collecting the extras with ease every time he had a chance to.
Hippos have to carry themselves up after this to end the season on form while the Heathens match on with hope to catch table leaders Kobs.
