The JKL Lady Dolphins stars overcame Nabisunsa Girls 70-40 in playoffs game one

This was attributed to Brenda Ekone’s outstanding performance as she scored 19 points throughout the game.

Taudencia Oluoch added a double double of 10 points and 17 rebounds as Hope Akello added 13 points.

The two sides return for game two on Sunday as the two-time defending champions seek for a place in the semi-finals.

JKL Dolphins showcased great defensive tactics and emerged victorious over Nabisunsa Girls.

The Lady Dolphins earlier established an 18 points lead in the opening of the game as they ended the quarter with a 29-11.

Nabisunsa leading scorer Patience Karungi had 16 points to go with 8 rebounds while Tamasha Nsubuga scored 9 points.

In these quarterfinals, the best three teams with the first team to win two games will advance to the finals.

JKL Lady Dolphins kept their hopes high as they might proceed to the semi-finals.

However, it wasn’t Nabisunsa Girls’ first time to be defeated by the unbeaten JKL Dolphins as they were beaten in the National Basketball League season 80-64.

Game one between the JKL Lady Dolphins and Nabisunsa Girls was played on Saturday, the 27th of August 2022 at YMCA Wandegeya Stadium.

The game two will be held on Sunday, the 28th of August 2022 at Lugogo Stadium.
