Juliet Nalukenge named among next generation footballers by goal.com

2019 Uganda woman footballer of the year and U-17 women soccer captain Juliet Nalukenge is among the top 10 goal.com next generation footballers.

The forward who captained Uganda to the CECAFA U-17 glory and the COSAFA U-17 girls’ championship with a staggering 18 goals in five matches was recognized on a list released by goal.com which included 16-year-old Maika Hamano (Japan), Haley Bugeja (Malta), Maya Le Tissier (England), Mary Fowler (Australia), Melchie Dumornay (Haiti), Alexis Missimo (USA), Alison Gonzalez (Mexico), Nikita Tromp (Netherlands) and Hanna Bennison (Sweden).

Nalukenge who dreams of turning professional in Europe was the leading goal scorer with five goals in the qualifiers for the U-17 World cup before the tournament was brought to a halt due to Covid -19 pandemic.  At the time Uganda was preparing to take on Cameroon in the final qualifier
