Today afternoon at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Kampala City Council Authority confirmed their progress to the last round of 8 in the Uganda Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over the prison side Maroon FC.

The Kasasiro Boys made life really difficult for the prison side, as KCCA talented Forward Sadat Happy Anaku managed to round up Maroon goalkeeper Dhaira to put his side 1-0 up just under 7 minutes  into the first half period.

With half an hour played, Kigozi would combine with Sserwadda to double KCCA lead to 2-0 through a well workout finished.

The first period ended  2-0 with KCCA looking the better side right from the minute go, as the combination of Anaku Sadat and Sserwadda provided all forms of threats in the opponent’s box to keep them busy only defending.

The second half started with Maroon making immediate changes to try and effect the game but they substitutes can only do too much, as KCCA commanded the game in all areas giving little rooms for the visitors to get something in the game. With almost the full 90 minutes coming to a close, Balinya confidently struck to register his name on the score sheet after being released by Sserwadda to make 3-0 for KCCA. The visitors tried all day but they failed to break the defensive organization of KCCA, who managed to round up the tie 5-0  on aggregate to book their place  in the quarter final of this year’s Uganda Cup.
