FUFA Women Super League side Kampala Queens have completed the signing of Olila High School WFC defender Grace Aluka.
The 19-year-old central defender has joined the Queens from the Soroti-based club for an undisclosed fee.
Aluka has been so instrumental for both her former club and the U-20 National team.
This was confirmed by the club on their Twitter handle on Monday afternoon.
“Kampala Queens is delighted to announce the signing of utility player Grace Aluka. Welcome to the palace Grace.” Read the tweet.
She has become Kampala Queens’ fifth signing after left back Sumaya Komuntale joined them from Tooro Queens FC, defender Asia Nakibuuka from Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, Daisy Nakaziro from Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga WFC and midfielder Teddy Najjuma from UCU Lady Cardinals FC.
The team is trying hard to strengthen the squad capable of battling for the title against their title rivals the defending champions She Corporate FC who have already made seven signings in this transfer window.
The Queens don’t look like stopping now to sign players as the transfer season ends on 21st September 2022.
Kampala Queens will open up their campaign against newcomers Asubo Gafford Ladies FC on Sunday 18th September 2022 while their title rivals She Corporate FC take on another new entrant Makerere University WFC on Saturday 17th September 2022.
