Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC confirms Davis Kasirye exit

Kenya Premier League entity Sofapaka FC have confirmed the release of Ugandan striker Davis Kasirye on mutual consent.

Kasirye signed for Sofapaka FC in September 2022 on a long contract after he was released by Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club when his contract expired.

Kasirye departure from the 2019 Kenya Premier league champions comes after he failed to live up to the expectations, scored just one goal since his arrival at the club which was a penalty against Ulinzi FC in a 1-1 draw.

Apart from KCCA FC, the 33 year old striker has played for Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club, Uganda People’s Defence Forces Football Club and Vipers SC in Uganda.

Out of the pearl of Africa Kasirye has played for Zesco United in Zambia, Rayon Sports in Rwanda and Darling Club Motema Pembe in Congo.

Coach David Ouma coached side Sofapaka FC are currently 12th on the eighteen league table with eleven points after eleven matches, twelve below table leaders Tusker FC.

Sofapaka FC have registered just two wins this season, drawn five and suffered four defeats.
