Shujaa will not compete in the cup competition after suffering a second loss at the Cape Town 7s.
They lost to New Zealand 5–31 earlier this morning at the Cape Town Stadium.
Before Billy Odhiambo rammed over for Shujaa’s consolation try, New Zealand took the lead thanks to tries from Akulla Rokolisoa (with a conversion) and Amanaki Nicole (without a conversion), making the halftime score 12-5.
New Zealand’s victory was secured by additional tries from Roderick Solo, Moses Leo, Brady Rush, and Caleb Tangitau, with two successful conversions by Rokolisoa.
