Khalid Aucho has been dismissed from the national team camp after failing to respect the team’s code of conduct and FUFA circular dated 4th March 2021.

The Misr El Makkasa player who was yet to report to the camp since his arrival in the country refused to board the means of transport organized by FUFA to pick players on national duty from the airport to the team camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi.

FUFA has written to the Egyptian Federation and his club notifying them about the latest development and a return ticket has been issued to the midfielder.

The nation is waiting to see how the rest of the team will cope with this news after a similar scenario cost the Cranes a place in the 2012 AFCON when David Obua was sent from the Cranes camp hours before the crucial 8th October, 2011 clash against Kenya. Will history repeat itself?
