Kheri Hussein Ali replaces Bobic Odowa as Mbale Heroes new coach

Mbale giants Mbale Heroes wasted no time in replacing sacked coach Bobic Odowa with 52 year old Kheri Hussein Ali.

This latest development comes less than 24 hours after the sacking of Bobic with his entire technical bench after a run of poor results saw the former super league club earn only one point out of the possible nine after three league games.

Hussein who was an attacking midfielder in his playing days, holds a diploma from Real Madrid and a coaching FIFA high level certificate. He was an assistant coach for 13 years and voted the second best coach in Uganda in the 2016-2017 season.

Hussein brings with him a lot of experience having coached in Kenya with the biggest role  as an assistant coach of Kenya’s Harambee stars. Other coaching stints in Kenya include; Mazziwa and Bandadir Kisumu all stars, Kenya breweries, Alkhatabali Oman and Utari college Kenya.

The Tororo born has had coaching stints in Uganda with; Jinja Arsenal, Jinja Municipal, Victoria University, VCC football club, Moroto, Paidha and Bull FC.

His first task is to overturn the 1-0 loss to Gaddafi in the Uganda Cup at the Mbale Municipal stadium on Friday.
