Kipson Atuhire scores the winner for Wakiso Giants to send MYDA packing

At the King George IV Memorial Stadium, another relegation candidate in MYDA FC were today up against Wakiso Giants. MYDA, full of determination to get something at their home in Tororo, started the game in full gear by grabbing an early lead in the 18th minute through Mutebi Eric, to put them 1:0 up.

Wakiso Giants playing catch up needed to up their game a little bit, and they purpled shark after going down early, regrouped themselves and started to show some real attacking threats, which paid off in the 26th minutes when their in form striker Vianney Sekajugo netted the equalizer to level the game 1:1 with almost 20 minutes remaining until the end of the first period.

In the 36th minute of the game, Kipson Atuheire marked his return to the Wakiso Giants starting XI after some time out with a very important goal that gave the Purple Sharks a 2:1 lead going into halftime break in Tororo.

The two teams returned for the second period in the game with MYDA FC boys who were already mentally defeated having to play catch up. Wakiso Giants then only needed to defend their goal territory to protect their lead, and they decided to shield the game away to deny MYDA FC an equalizer in the game to end proceedings in Tororo in their favor at full time whistle. They moved to the 7th position in the league with 36 points, whereas MYDA FC sank to the relegation zone with 4 games still remaining until the end of the season.
