There was a delay in the start on the second day of the second Redball four day match due a heavy downpour on Monday night followed by bad light in the afternoon hours that went on to affect the game.
But nevertheless the proceedings took shape later in the day that saw Busowoko continue with the bat as they were bowled out in 59.1 overs.
Kusasira Aaron was the strong pillar in the opening of the innings but once he fell, only Kennenth Waiswa and Muwanguzi Timothy had a proper individual contribution of 50 runs off 93 balls and 25 runs off 101 runs respectively to help Busowoko reach 137/10 in 59.1 overs.
Marvin Kitamirike must be flying in Jinja as he picked five wickets on the second day after registering a big score of 69 runs with the bat on Monday.
Marvin’s contribution to Itanda is clearly being since the start of the second Redball four day match and could be a vital one for his side.
Mukisa Eric was the other bowler whose efforts didn’t go unnoticed as he registered figures of 3/19 in the 17 overs he bowled.
Itanda had to continue with their second innings of the match but on a poor run as they pulled off 30/2 in 19 overs.
Action will resume on Wednesday, 28th December 2022 at the same venue with Itanda continuing with the bat as they lead by 131 runs.
