After registering their first win of the season in March against Wakiso Giants, Kitara FC today hosted another relegation threatened opponent in game week 21 of the Uganda premier league looking for their second win of the season.
The away side had the best advantage in the first 20 minutes of the game, which saw them miss a penalty in the 6th minute and Nicolas Kasozi scoring in the 16th minute to give them an early lead. But Kitara FC got themselves back in the game in the 31st minute through a well-executed penalty by Nathan Oloro. And with 7 extra minutes added after the end of the normal 45 minutes of the halftine, Joel Mutakubwa was sent off with a straight red card.
With Kyetume FC reduced to 10-men, Kitara FC started the second half looking very dangerous in attack as they had one extra man advantage. In the 52nd minute Kyetume conceded another penalty which Nathan Oloro stepped in and scored to register his second for the day.
Sharif Saaka restored Kyetume’s hope in the 61st minute with an equalizer but Kitara FC utilized their extra numbers to score 2 more goals in the 78th minute and 88th minute to finish the tie 4 : 2 by the end of the full time whistle.
This win though didn’t change much at the bottom of the table as they still remained bottom of the table on 8 points and only one behind MYDA FC who won’t play until tomorrow.
