Kitara FC overcome Adjumani Town Council FC threats to remain unbeaten at home

Result: Kitara FC 2-1 Adjumani Town Council FC.

Kitara FC continued with their perfect home run beating Adjumani Town Council FC 2-1 at Kigaya primary school play ground on Thursday 12th January in the FUFA Big League.

The visitors took a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half through Ajiga Micheal from a well taken free kick.

The Hoima City side kicked off the last fourty five minutes on a high with back to back threats on the opponents goal.

This paid off after 22 minutes when midfielder Paddy Muhumuza brought the game to level 1-1.

As pressure mounted onto the visitors, they ended up conceding a penalty after their defender fouled in the forbidden area eight minutes to the final whistle.

Striker Patrick Henry Kaddu stepped up and converted it, sending the home fans into joy and happiness hence into a 2-1 lead.

The former KCCA FC and Maroons FC goal poacher has scored five goals in the last four.

He remains the current league top scorer with fifteen goals from fourteen matches, one above Booma FC’s Omedi Denis who too scored one against Police FC going to fourteen goals.

The result means Kitara FC ended the first round unbeaten at their home Kigaya primary school play ground, winning all the eight games scoring twenty seven goals keeping four clean sheets.

Mark Twinamasiko coached side remain top of the log with 30 points after 14 games.

They will visit Karo Karungi FC in Ibanda in their last fixture of first round on Thursday 19th of January.

Adjumani Town Council FC suffered eighth defeats this season, 14th on the table with 12 points.

More so their last four fixtures have ended in defeats letting in twelve goals in the process.

Next on agenda, Adjumani Town Council FC hosts Luweero United on Thursday 19th January at the end of first round.
