FUFA Big League entity Kitara FC have announced the signing of Akugizibwe Stuart.

Stuart joins Kitara FC from Kitara Regional League side Kibanjwa FC.

The pace winger has penned a two year contract with the Hoima City based side till the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 23 year speed merchant has been at Kibanjwa FC for only one season having joined them in the summer of 2021 from Bugoigo Leopard FC.

On his arrival at Kibanjwa FC, he was handed the arm band to captain the team.

Stuart did not disappoint leading by example, he was the club’s top scorer last season with 13 goals in all competitions scoring nine in the league and four in Uganda Cup.

Last season, Kibanjwa FC finished 5th on the Kitara Regional League table and in Uganda Cup, they were eliminated by Paidha Black Angels FC at the round of 64.

Stuart commonly known as Hazard is the second new signing at Kitara FC this transfer window.

The other is midfielder Abas Katerega who joined from top flight side Onduparaka FC.

The club has also renewed contract of Mwesigwa Stuart, Jamil Kiyimba, Musoke Hillington, Kyomuhendo Charles, Kasaija David, Agondeze Edson and Mugume Patrick.

The club also confirmed the return of Mark Twinamasiko as the new head coach.

Mark replaced Richard Makumbi who is now the club technical director.
