Bujumbura United have shown early signs of qualifying for the playoffs.
The Kibanjwa Lions (Bujumbura United) have won all the opening four matches, they sit on top of the Kitara regional league (Albert Group) table with 12 points.
The Hoima City side has scored the highest number of goals sofar (13) and Conceded the least (3).
More so, Bujumbura United has registered the big win with big score line, they beat Kiryandongo United 5-0 on matchday three.
Dove FC, Buhimba saints United and Bugoigo Leopards FC come 2nd, 3rd and 4th all tied at nine points from four games only separated by the goal difference of (5,3,0).
Dove FC collected maximum points from the opening three fixtures but were condemned to first defeat on matchday four away to Bugoigo Leopards FC (2-1).
The Red Army (Dove FC) have banged nine goals and let in four in the process.
New league entrants Buhimba Saints United who are third on the log beat Bweyale United 1-0 in their last fixture, hence the third victory of the season.
Bulisa based side Bugoigo Leopards FC sit fourth, their only loss was away to Bujumbura United 3-0 but have gone on to win the other three and recently being a 2-1 home victory against Dove FC.
In the relegation zone are Kiryandongo United, Jeeja FC and Blue Star Mugarana FC 11th, 12th and 13th respectively.
Two teams have not yet recorded a win this campaign so far. They are Jeeja FC and Blue Star Mugarana FC from Kiryandongo and Kagadi districts respectively.
Action returns on Saturday 31st of December with two fixtures then climaxes on Sunday 1st of January 2023 four games on the card.
