KIU Titans narrowly edge out the Ndejje University side

KIU Titans faced Ndejje Angels at the KIU Basketball Courts at 4:00 pm yesterday. 

In the previous encounters between the two sides. They both lost and won once in 2019. 

There was a delay via the tip off , the Visitors Jerseys were not corresponding to the FIBA rules and they were given 10 Mins or else a walk over awarded to the Titans. 

Till off and the game starts. Kasinde made the 1st 2 points for KIU Titans. Less than 3 mins to close Quarter 1, Dramaza  came in for Kasinde in a tactical change. Game score was KIU 18 – 14 Ndejje. 

Break ended at 19-14. The Angels made more baskets at the start of the second quarter , 2 minutes to end Half Time, the umpire called for a timeout as Titans regrouped. 

It was a thrilling half period performance from both teams as Titans came from behind to  take the lead once again.  Scores 34-29 to Titans. 

Quarter 3 started with the Angels levelling the points , it’s all square at the KIU courts in Kansanga. 34-34. 

However Aden Faisal had other ideas as he added on the points to put KIU Titans in a 34-42 lead. Aden took the show as he was fouled and came off from the time out to take on the free shots. He racked up the points taking the score to 41-50. 

Final quarter started with KIU Titans in a slender lead of 45-50. One minute of a play and the game was tied after an awesome Obleng dunk. 58-58. 

As time started to fade, less than a minute and Okoth put the Titans into a points advantage. 

In a tough tight contest, KIU Titans emerged victorious with a point ahead. Full time score 61-60.
