Conrad Mukwaya has been sanctioned for two weeks without play following a tackle he made when Impis hosted the KOBs.
The World Rugby Sanctions for Foul Play (Regulation 17: 10.4 (s) and the Uganda Rugby Union Regulations, state that any act of foul play which results in contact with the head and or neck area of another shall result in at least a mid-range sanction.
The panel which sat in a closed-door session on 4th May 2021 at 5:30pm at the URU Headquarters determined that this was a case of mid-range entry point which attracts 6 weeks.
The sanction was reduced to 2 weeks as a result of mitigation following the red card he received during the game against Impis on 1st May 2021 at Makerere.
The sentence took effect from 6th May 2021.
This means he will miss KOBs crucial game against Pirates that takes place on Saturday 8th May 2021. KOBs are also without some of their star players who were called to national duty in South Africa.
