KOBS were unbeaten throughout the season as they visited Dam waters for a match against Hippos who were unbeaten at home.
Many had hoped Hippos would put a dent in the KOBs pursuit for the title this season with their recent form a cause for belief.
There was panic as KOBs were forced into an early substitution as Josiah Ssempeke replaced an injured Al Haji Manano in the early minutes of the game.
Maxwell Ebonga uncharacteristically missed a Hippos penalty as the score remained 00-00.
Hippos were punished for failing to capitalize on their chances when Brian Ochan opened the scoring to give KOBs 00-05 lead.
Kobs went on to strengthen their lead with a James Odong try and substitute Josiah Ssempeke making the conversion.
There was high tackle by KOBs on Hippos. This gave the Hippos a penalty which Maxwell Ebonga took to cut the gap to 03-12. And that was all the action from Dam waters as Kobs held on to their lead.
With three games to go, Kobs are the biggest contenders for the league title. It remains to be seen if they will remain undefeated this season.
