Having beaten Busoga United 1 : 0 in midweek to pick up just their 3rd win for the 2020/2021 season, Kyetume FC today hosted Wakiso Giants with the ultimate task of collecting maximum points in the game as they were still buoyed by that midweek result.

They started the game slowly by going down to an early 16th minute goal by Vianne Sekajugo goal, but found their way back in the game in the 21st minute when Roberto Ssentogo converted a penalty to level the game at 1 : 1. This advantage lasted only 1 minute though as Ivan Bogere responded with a quick goal before Kyetume FC could finish their goal celebration, giving Wakiso Giants a lead going into halftime break.

The second half started with the home team more goal thirsty than ever, as it took Ali Feni only 12 minutes to equalize to make it 2 : 2.  At 2 all,  the balance of the game changed with Kyetume looking more dangerous than the men from Wakiso, and in the 66th minute, Sharif Saaka scored to make it 3 : 2 in favor of the home team.    This win has changed everything for Kyetume as they now stand at 19 points only 1 point behind Busoga United who occupies 12 position and doesn’t play until tomorrow. Kyetume with their 2 fixtures coming against relegation stricken sides in Kitara FC and MYDA FC, they could collect the necessary 6 points and move to safety, but it remains to be seen if they can pull this off in the remaining fixtures.
