The FUFA women super league champions Lady Doves Football Club are at risk of losing their captain Daisy Nakaziro who plays as the goalkeeper for the Club and midfielder Elizabeth Nakigozi.
However, the Club has reiterated that the two players are still with the club despite rumours that they have left the Lady Doves Camp.
The Club also confirmed that they are still negotiating with their representatives to ensure that the two remain at the Club.
According to Kitara Sports Magazine, the club management and the agent of these two players have failed to reach the final agreement for the two players to renew their contracts with the club and the agent of the two players has asked for a lot of money from the club management so that the players can extend their stay at the club.
Nakaziro Daisy joined the club in 2018 and helped the club to win its first-ever Women Super League title and emerging as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. She is remembered for her great performance against UCU Lady Cardinals FC in the 2021 FUFA Women Super League Final where they won 2-1 to claim their first title.
Nakogozi Elizabeth joined the Club from Muteesa I Royal University WFC in 2020, she was also influential in the 2021 FUFA Women Super League.
The club resumed training on 1st June 2021 with all the players who featured in the league tournament are all available with the loaned players also returning back with the likes of Nahimana Ester, Norah Alupo, Namaganda Esther, Halima Katushabe Iryn Akiror and Ajwang Veronica.
They are training in preparation for the Africa women champions league zonal Qualifiers scheduled between July and August this year in Kenya.
