The second half of the Uganda Premier League 2020/2021 season kicked off today with Onduparaka making a trip to the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru to face Busoga United.

The home team had the advantage in this game as early as the 3rd minute, when Busoga United striker forward Yusuf Ssozi was brought down in the penalty area.

Balabala Magero stepped up to the stop and gave his side a 1 : 0 with a well taken penalty past Onduparaka goalkeeper Tony Kyamera.

Jeromy Kirya then had an opportunity to double the lead but the cross bar came to the rescue of the Caterpillars to allow the first half end only 1 : 0 in favor of the Jinja based boys.

Second half then started with the two teams playing an open gamel.

It was Isma Mugulusi, an U-20 international who managed to put his side 2 : 0 up in the 54th minute following another well laid ball by Yusuf Ssozi.

This was Busoga United’s 4th win of the 2020/2021 season. The victory pushes them 11th as they have now fetched 17 points off 16 matches.

Busoga United gave Onduparaka’s new manager Joseph Mutyaba Harold a tough first game. On his first game in-charge, he had to watch his new team suffer their 7th loss of the campaign. The boys from Arua City now lie in 8th position with 21 points from 16 games.
