Game week seven came as the third last game week of the league. The title race is still very much on with Heathens, Pirates and Kobs still tussling it out.

Kobs stretched their lead at the top to 33 points 5 bonus points after the win over Mongers. They still remain in control as front runners at the top of the log with two games to go. The Kampala Old Boys are yet to lose a game this short season which means it will take extraordinary effort to beat them this season after beating Heathens and Hippos already.

Pirates made a statement win against Rams to keep their title hopes alive and earn a sixth bonus point. The Kings Park based side are putting in the work as a team with captain Ivan Magomu back in form. They have a date with Kobs on the last day of the season. This could be a title decider with both teams separated by only three points.

Heathens, Champions have the kindest fixture. Currently in third on 29 points with 5 bonus points. After winning against Hijois today,  it means they have played all the teams in the top four losing to Kibs and winning over Pirates in the first game of the season. They will be looking to win their remaining matches and for either Pirates or Lobs to slip up if they’re to strengthen their chances of winning the league.

What was a four horse race in game week four has been narrowed down to three and more realistically two between Kobs and Pirates. It makes for an interesting end to the season

At the bottom of the table Warriors remain in search of their first win together with Rams who are only ahead of Warriors with two bonus points.
