Kyetume FC travelled to Mbarara on Saturday hoping to build on their 2-2 draw against Bright Stars in midweek. Their hopes soon faded as they fell behind to an opening goal from Henry Kitegenyi in the 48th minute. Sharif Saaka equalized for the away team to make 1-1 in the 50th minute.
However, the home side kept pushing and regained their lead in the 59th minute through a goal from Swalik Sseguja, before Makueth Wol made it 3-1 on the 67th minute mark to put the game beyond the visitors reach.
Despite the win, Mbarara City remains in 13th position in the league only 5 points above the relegation zone.
