Vipers FC former player, Henry Kitegenyi scored to end his former club’s unbeaten start to the season.

Following a goalless first half, Kitegenyi broke the deadlock with a fine finish past Vipers FC’s shot stopper, Bashir Sekagya.

After this shaky start to the second half, Vipers FC then threw in the likes of Lawrence Tezikya, Allan Kayiwa and Jamil Karisa in an effort to try and turn things around in their favour. But the homeside managed to equal the attacking threats of the visitors to earn their first ever win over the Venoms. This result means that Vipers FC surrendered top spot to Express FC who beat Busoga United 1 : 0 on Friday while Mbarara City moved to 11th with 13 points.
