Result: Mbarara City FC 6-0 Soroti City FC.

Mbarara City FC put six past Soroti City FC to go 2nd on the FUFA Big League table.

The fixture was at Kakyeka stadium on Thursday 29th of December 2022.

Henry Kitegenyi and Seiri Arigumaho both scored a brace each on the day and a single from Jamil Kisitu Nvule and Sadat Nsubuga endured maximum points for the home team.

Kitegenyi moved level with Kitara FC striker Patrick Henry Kaddu to 13 goals as the joint FUFA Big League top scorers.

Sadiq Sempigi coached side which suffered the first ever defeat of the season against Luweero United 2-1 on matchday eleven moved 2nd on the table with 25 points, one below leaders Kitara FC who thumped Luweero United 4-0 in Hoima.

NEC FC who went to matchday twelve 2nd dropped to 3rd after being held to a goalless draw at home by Jinja North United FC.

This was Mbarara City FC third consecutive home win where they have kept two clean sheets and Conceded only one goal.

Soroti City FC stay at 10 points after twelve matches, 15th on the log. Eight losses have been seen on their side letting in a total of twenty six goals.

More so the Soroti City based team won one from the last five games, lost four keeping one clean sheet.

Both teams will return to action on Thursday 5th of January 2023 in matchday thirteen, Soroti City FC host Kitara FC as Mbarara City FC make a trip to Adjumani Town Council FC.
