National team coach Johnathan McKinstry’s Job is all but over after the FUFA executive committee decided that he steps aside from managing and coaching the team for the period stretching from 2nd to 31st march 2021.

A press release from FUFA stated that FUFA would use this period to assess and monitor the performance of the team.

Current Assistant Coaches Abdallah Mubiru, Livingston Mbabazi and goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba will oversee the senior national team in the meantime while the entire technical team will remain unchanged.

And as the entire sports fraternity in Uganda wonders and contemplates this unusual “holiday” for a national team coach, questions remain on what will come of key AFCON qualifier games that the cranes will have to play within the Irishman’s leave.

Could this mean more than it is?
