With just a few days to the DDay, the Uganda Cranes head coach named the final 23 players who are to represent Uganda at the CHAN tournament in Algeria.
The named list sees a few players missing due to injuries they sustained in Tunisia during training and the three friendly games they held.
The Uganda Premier league reigning champions duo of Najib Yiga and Siraje Ssentamu will miss out on the opportunity to represent Uganda at CHAN.
“It is unfortunate that we are not able to continue with Najib Yiga and Siraje Ssentamu because of injuries,” Micho said.
“We hope that they get better soon and be available for the next engagements starting with the AFCON Qualifiers in March,” Micho added.
The team will arrive in Algeria on Wednesday 11th January 2023 to start their final preparations for CHAN as they are placed in Group B with Senegal, Ivory Coast & Democratic Republic of Congo.
