Mooni Immortals beats Team Talas in a tightly contested game| Mbale Basketball League

Mooni Immortals Basketball Team beat Team Talas with a score of 77-64 in leg one of the preliminary season at Mbale SS basketball court yesterday, 2nd September.

In a fiercely contested match, Mooni Immortals were able to defeat Team Talas.

Although Team Mooni had the advantage throughout the entire game, it was more of a closely contested matchup as they battled till the fourth quarter.

After Talas caught up to Mooni in the late second quarter, Mooni was only ahead by one point or four points until early in the fourth quarter, when Mooni firmly established the victory with a 10-point margin of victory.

Team Mooni was led to victory by Mungoma Kevin, while Benjamin Omome was lighting it up for Talas.

Mooni now has two victories and two losses after this victory.

Team Mooni won their first game against Mbale SS City Jaguars 79-46 before suffering losses to team BallUp (44-69) and City Flamers (70-86).

Talas’ first game ended in a loss to BallUp (72-64) while their second game ended in a victory over City Flamers (78-68).

In their third game, Tororo was unable to travel to Mbale for their fixture against Talas and a walkover was awarded 20-0. Team Talas took points home.

Both teams currently have 6 points each.

Next up is City flamers versus Team Nabumali at 4 pm today at MBALE SS.

City Flamers will be seeking their third win as they have two wins and one loss while newcomers Nabumali will be seeking for their first win.
