New Head Coach Suraj Karavadra has much work to do before the Lady Cricket Cranes fly out to Kigali for the 2021 Kwibuka T20 tournament that kicks off early next month

This comes after the Lady Cricket Cranes lost their trial game against the U19 A boys’ team in a match which was heavily affected by the mid-morning downpour at the Kyambogo Cricket Oval.

The game which was officiated by Patrick Makumbi and Simon Kintu saw the U19 A team win the toss and as a result elected to bat 1st.

The boys won the game by 27 runs while setting 107/4 in 16 overs with the girls scoring 80/8 in 16 overs. The man of the match was Christopher Kidega after making 47 runs.

The Cricket Lady Cranes will play their opening game of the Kwibuka T20 Memorial tournament on 6th June against Namibia Women at the Gahanga International Ground in Kigali Rwanda.

The annual tournament is arranged in commemoration of the 1994 victims of the Rwanda Genocide and this year will see 5 teams participate.
