The Federation of Uganda Football Association President Moses Magogo has announced his intent to stand for the third time for the same position.

Magogo was addressing the media during his quarterly media engagement at Jevine Hotel in Rubaga, Kampala. Magogo who is the newly elected member of parliament for Budiope East as well as a CAF Executive Committee Member, said that he plans to use his position as a decision maker to serve football better, since he will be able to table football issues on the floor of parliament.

He has been the president ever since taking over from Lawrence Mulindwa in 2013 and during most of the FUFA presidential elections after he assumed the  office,  he Magogo has always been elected unopposed as his would be competitors were always squeezed out due to tight and strict regulations.

But the coming election in August remains to be seen if the man will go unopposed again. Over the years his opponents like Hon Muhammad Nsereko, Robert Kabushenga and Hon Allan Ssewanyana have failed to go through the FUFA nomination processes to compete against Magogo.
