At King George IV stadium Tororo, two relegation candidates MYDA and Kyetume locked horns in Tororo with a common agenda being survival.

Kyetume FC  fully aware of the implication of this game to their league survival hope, started the game with much vigor and went in front early in the first half through Ezera Kaye who converted a beautiful goal to give his side a 1-0 lead in the game before the half time whistle was blown. The two sides finished the first half 1-0 with Kyteume coming out top.

At 1-0 up, Kyetume started the second period with more urgency going forward, and in the process they restricted their opponent to doing mostly defensive work, and as a result gifted a penalty to the away team. Raymond Walugembe Stepped in and made it 2-0 to Kyetume in the 49th minute to almost take the game away from the home team.

MYDA FC responded with an 86th minute goal through Etojo Amos who scored to restore his team’s fighting chance in the game. And with a full 90th minute of play done, and Kyetume FC players only needing to keep the ball away from the home team to seal their lead, they allowed Derrick Basoga to net an important equalizing goal that concluded the clash at 2-2 all to both sides at full time whistle.

Kyetume FC came into this game looking limited in personnel with the suspension of their goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa and defender Julius Ntambi for alleged match fixing incidence. But surrendering a 2-0 lead in a very crucial match like this was acceptable. They both kept their positions in the table with this draw but Kyetume stand a better chance for getting out of the relegation zone as they are 10 points above MYDA FC
