MYDA FC relegation woes continue as they concede six at home against BUL FC

After weeks without league football, MYDA FC yesterday hosted BUL FC at the King George IV stadium in Tororo desperate to prolong relegation. The Flying Eagles of Tororo needed to pick all three points in order to carry their relegation fight to the last game of the season.

With the Malaba based side sitting 12 points from safety, they needed to show character to collect something from today’s game, but the flying eagle today started the game by going behind early after only 22nd minutes played in the game. Musa Esenu put the visitors ahead in the 23rd minute, before Simon Oketch and Joseph Ssemujju added 2 goals to make it 3:0 for BUL FC. Rashid Mpata got a consolation goal in the 2 of the added minutes after the normal 45’minute play to make it 1:3 going into half time break.

In the second period, Simon Oketch completed his brace in the 52nd minute to extend Alex Isabirye’s side’s advantage in the game to 4:1. After going 4:1 down, the flying eagle conceded two more goals as Ibrahim Mugulusi added another goal in the 76th minutes to make it 5:1 before Ojok Deogratious completed the mauling from the penalty spot to crown their day 6:1 at the King George XI Memorial Stadium.MYDA FC’s hope of surviving relegation is not very thin, whereas BUL FC with this result is now in the 11th position on 33 points after 27 matches played this season.
