“Nalongo” Imanishimwe digs JKL out of UCU trouble

Rita’s Imanishimwe gave birth to twins in December last year. She made her cameo for the JKL Lady Dolphins against her former team UCU Lady Canons in Mukono on Saturday 8th May 2021. 

JKL had  a 21 point lead when UCU staged a comeback to force the game into overtime with a nine point run in. 

Lady Dolphins however displayed their steel to hold on to the lead by topping a four-pointer. 

Ritah was given 9 minutes from which she scored five points from 2 shots out of three. 

Brenda Ekon led the score board with 22 points, Zainah Lokwameri and Aleppo Hope had 13 and 15 respectively for the Dolphins. 

UCU had Hajjarah Naduja to thank for her 15 points together with Nigitta Rhoda and Letaru Ruth who made 12 and 11 points respectively in an effort that yielded no results. 

In other games, struggling Falcons fell to Nam Blazers 65-61 as City Oilers outsmarted UPDF Tomahawks. 

In the men’s category, JKL Dolphins fixture with UCU was postponed because of weather changes and is to be played on a later date.
