NEC FC 2-0 Kitaka Fc.

NEC FC continued chasing for top spot as they managed a 2-0 win over visitors Kataka FC at the Bugolobi Coffee ground on Thursday 19th January in the FUFA Big League.

Kiberu Tonny put the home fans in early joy and happiness as early as the third minute with the opening goal on the day, hence going into the break in a 1-0 narrow lead.

Kataka FC who seemed rejuvenated and hard to break in the second half finally broke down when Shamir Kimwero doubled NEC FC’S lead with three minutes to normal time, hence the final whistle going at a 2-0 score line the home team picking all the three points.

Kiberu Tonny was named NEC FC man of the match and was awarded with Uganda Shillings hundred thousand (100,000/=).

This was NEC FC’S eighth win of the season taking them to 30 points after 15 games level with Mbarara City FC who were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Northern Gateway FC in Lira but one points off table leaders Kitara FC who too shared spoils 1-1 with Kaaro Karungi FC in Ibanda.

Lukyamuzi Michael men NEC FC ended first round undefeated at their home base from the seven matches winning five and drawing two conceding only two goals and scoring fifteen in the process.

The away team Kataka Fc remained at 20 points 6th on the after losing the fifth game of the campaign.

They have won two, drawn two and lost one in their previous five games.
