Lugazi FC vs NEC FC
Third placed NEC FC visit Lugazi FC as they aim top of the table spot on the FUFA Big League log.
The fixture will be played on Thursday 5th of January at Lugazi play ground in Najjebe.
A win for NEC FC over Lugazi FC will automatically take them top of the table in case Kitara fc and Mbarara City FC lose to Soroti City and Adjumani Town Council FC respectively.
The Bugolobi based side were held to a burren draw by Jinja North United at their home base in the last fixture, hence the third they have shared points.
After twelve matches, NEC FC has lost two all coming away to Kitara Fc 2-0 and Soroti City FC 1-0, drawn three and the other seven being victories.
More so, NEC FC are unbeaten in the past five games, won three and drawn two. They last lost away to Soroti City FC 1-0 on matchday seven.
Coach Lukyamuzi Michael’s side has won one 0-1 Booma FC and drawn one 0-0 in their previous two matches away from home.
On the other side of the home team Lugazi FC, sit 10th on the table with 14 points after 12 matches.
They have suffered six defeats, four wins and drawn two.
Arafat Agonda Bagala was the saviour as he scored a late equalizer away to Kyetume FC in a one all draw in their last fixture.
Their recent four games have seen them drawing two, winning and losing one a piece.
At home, Lugazi FC has won it’s last three games where they have kept two clean sheets and Conceded two goals.
William Kyesswa coached team last suffered defeat at home on matchday four at the hands of Kitara FC 0-3.
The league fouth top scorer Gerald Ogweti with nine goals is the club leading goal poacher.
Ogweti has scored five goals in the last six failing to find the back of the net in two against Jinja North United FC and Kyetume FC.
