Financially crippled Nemo Stars will be looking to better their best ever performance at the African Volleyball championship after going through to the last 8 of the competition.
In a game where the stars needed nothing but a win, they wasted no time in easing past Ethiopia’s Wolaitta Dicha by winning all the three sets.
Nemo Stars started the game in high gear winning the first set 15-25. The Ethiopians were a much-improved side in the 2nd set but lost 20-25.
The 3rd set was more thiliring as the Ethiopians were not willing to give the Ugandans a smooth run to the quarterfinals but a much more composed Nemo Stars stood their ground to win the set 22-25.
The Stars advanced to the next round after winning 2 games and losing 1 game while Wolaitta Dicha exited the tournament without winning any game.
