Nemo stars were sent back to the drawing by Tunisian giants Kelibia in the ongoing 2021 Men’s Club African Championship day 2 match 13.
The Tunisians wasted no time in leading the first set 10-25. The Stars tried to match the Tunisians in the second set but in the end the Tunisians proved too hot to handle to win a very competitive set 21-25.
Expectations were high for the Ugandans to make a comeback in the third set just like they did against Tanzania’s MTC in the opening game but the Tunisians were ready to respond by winning the third set 18-25 to condemn the stars to their first loss of the tournament.
The Tunisians have now won all their opening two games with a 0-3 score line.
Nemo stars will need to win their last game on Tuesday against Ethiopia’s Wolaita Dicha to progress to the quarter finals. The game kicks off at 2pm local Ugandan time.
