Nemostars threw away a chance to better their previous sixth position when they lost to Kenya ports Authority by 3 sets to zero.

The Ugandan club came into the game knowing that nothing but victory would provide a chance to equal or better their 2019 ranking at the African volleyball club championship.

The Kenyans convincingly won the first set 25 – 18. The second set needed a tie breaker for the Kenyans to win 26 – 24. Nemostars knew that nothing but victory in the 3rd set would keep them in the game but a spirited Kenyan team held on to win the set 25 – 19.Nemo Stars now will have to settle for either 7th or 8th position. They take on GSU from Kenya on Monday who lost to Cameroun’s Port Douala.
