MTN Omondi stadium has of late turned into a hot cake stadium hosting a variety of matches this season in the league, training sessions for the National side and a host of matches in the Uganda Cup. Tomorrow Thursday 3rd June 2021, there will be two-quarter-final matches that will be played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, with the first one being Police FC clash with Wakiso Giants at 1 PM before KCCA tussle it out also with Express FC at the same venue at 4 PM.

First leg police FC had a 3:1 victory away to Wakiso giants and tomorrow they will be looking forward to building it up from where they left last week at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso. The Cop’s tactics of scoring high in the first leg of some of their Uganda Cup competition this season has helped them knock out Bright Stars already and tomorrow they will be hoping that their 3:1 first-leg advantage does the magic for them again as they host Wakiso Giants who have a huge task of overturning 3:1 goal advantage.

In another encounter at 4 PM, KCCA will host Express FC, after playing to a goalless draw in the first leg of their quarter-final match at Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium. The Red Eagle missed a lot of opportunities when they hosted KCCA FC, and tomorrow will be looking to take advantage of the away goal advantage to put more pressure on their Kampala opponent as they compete at MTN Omondi in Lugogo.

Express FC currently sit top of the Uganda premier league and winning tomorrow’s quarter-final tie against KCCA, will boost their chances of fighting for a double this season. Whilst KCCA will be looking at tomorrow’s fixture as their only ticket to winning any silverware this season as they are almost 15 points behind the league leader Express FC.

This year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup finals will be played at the Masindi Municipal Stadium, hosted by the Kitara region.
